Art by Irina Rumyantseva
As an artist my heart and soul goes into every piece that I create. When I paint I pour my emotions out onto the canvas and convey the beauty that I see in everyday life in a way that others can see it to. When I finish a piece I am filled with a sense of accomplishment and integrity. My hope is that others will see this in my work and feel a connection with my art as if the piece is speaking specifically to them. My process has a certain flow that is smooth and seamless when I work within my own visions and ideas. I begin a piece by staring at the blank canvas until the image forms itself and becomes so clear to me it’s as if I have already painted it. I enjoy using heavy body acrylics so that I can add lots of texture and depth to my work giving it an almost 3d effect and feel to it. I translate my inner visions into outer reality. I am influenced by everything I see, feel and experience in nature and in everyday life. I enjoy taking my inspirations and turning them into more surreal or fantasy like scenes, letting my work tell the story. I have always enjoyed painting more moody dark scenes but more recently I have really enjoyed introducing more bright and vibrant colors into my art. My hope is that each piece will speak to the viewer and there is no wrong or right, just as long as it speaks to them, then I feel accomplished.
